Your RV bathroom shade should give you privacy, not turn your window into a peep show for the neighbors. If your shade creeps up or sags, this 17mm solo spring kit restores tension so your small shade moves smoothly and stays right where you put it.
A shade that won't stay down doesn't just stop working; it stops doing its most important job: keeping things private. It starts small: the shade creeps up an inch, then a foot, until you can't get it to stay down at all. Light sneaks in, and so does the feeling of being on display for the whole campground. This kit restores the tension your shade needs to stay put. Once fixed, your shade glides smoothly and gives you your sense of privacy back.
Mini kits are made for the smallest shades in your RV, like narrow bathroom or entry window shades. In the 1700 Series, a mini spring works with shades up to 20" wide. If you're really close to the max width, it won't hurt to go up to the next size. The only limit is the spring size and whether it fits inside your shade's roller tube. These shades may be light, but they need the right size spring to roll evenly. So before you order, check the spring inside your shade. If the internal diameter measures 17 mm, this is the right kit. If you have a standard tape measure, that will be about 11/16", or about the size of a dime. If it measures closer to 1-1/8", a little bigger than a quarter, you'll need one of the 28 mm spring kits instead.
Nothing stops a repair faster than missing hardware. This kit includes the spring, clips, brackets, screws, and endcaps, so you can fix the problem in one go and get your shade working like new. And all you need is 3 tools: a pair of pliers, a 1/8" Allen wrench, and a flat-head screwdriver.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at our MCD Innovations RV Shade Repair Kit for your solo mini spring kit. Folks, this kit provides manual control for small single shades inside your RV or camper. You can count on smooth shaded movement in your camper or trailer with this new kit. It's designed for one miniature RV window shade. The internal diameter of the springs for this particular kit is 17 millimeters, so match that up with what you have from the manufacturer already.
And then make sure you measure to ensure you're getting the correct spring and everything for your specific setup. So again, you will get the mini spring, the auto stop, the four standard clips. You'll get the metal brackets here, and then you'll get some beige end caps and some black end caps as well. And I do wanna point out this particular kit had four and four. I think most of 'em come with two and two, but just in case I laid 'em all out here.
So if you just get two and two, I believe that's what they're supposed to come with, so just putting that out there. But that should be more than enough either way to fulfill what you need for your repair. And that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together folks. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
Worked perfectly!
